Figure Skating Bridge Program
What is the Bridge Program? The Bridge Program is designed to teach skaters skills at a faster pace in a group lesson environment. It’s a great way to begin the transition from basic skills to figure skating programs. What are the benefits of the Bridge Program? • Bridge classes are smaller than those in the learn-toskate program in order for each skater to get maximum attention. • Bridge program begins training of the ice to help build a strong foundation of strength, flexibility, and technique for skaters. • Bridge program members are introduced to the various disciplines of skating, as well as information about attire, etiquette, ice utilization and good practice habits, USFS testing and competitive structure, club functions, nutrition, how and when to select a private coach, goal setting, and positive thinking.
What are the requirements to join the Bridge Program? • All bridge program participants must have PASSED the ALPHA level in the ISI curriculum. All applications require World Ice Arena Coach’s signature to verify skaters level. How are skaters divided into groups? • Skaters will be evaluated and divided into groups based on their skating level and ability
